Time to pack for another flight! How many times have you overpacked, and then you only used maybe 2 items out of your carryon.
Check out the minimalist guide to packing your carry-on. Pick and choose the items you MUST have for your trip, you may not need everything on the list below, or you may need more.
Obviously, you are going to bring your phone on your next trip! Bring that and a charger and you’re good to go. Be sure to download any music and books you want before boarding your flight.
Laptop or Tablet
Don’t bring both as a carry-on. If you HAVE to bring both on your trip just put one in your checked bag. Don’t forget your chargers.
Keep these in a quick access area that’s also secure. You have to be able to present these at any given time and you don’t want to be rummaging through your bag to find what you need.
If you’re going to need any medicine during flight times be sure to pack it as a carry-on. If you get headaches or earaches when flying pack some Tylenol. Also, be sure to pack your glasses or contacts.
Sometimes it gets COLD on a flight. Pack a light sweater. Some airlines provide thin blankets, but not all of them.
You aren’t going to want to be listening to your favorite song on full blast for the whole plane to hear. So pack a pair of headphones for your music and to watch movies on the plane.
You can’t charge your phone or other devices on the airplane. Be sure to bring an extra power supply such as a power bank to charge your phone for longer flights.
Your skin gets dry up there in the sky, and it can start to feel nasty while being cramped up in a plane with a bunch of people. It’s nice to be able to give your face a wipe down to freshen up quickly.
If you’re going to need sunglasses when you arrive at your destination be sure to pack them in your carryon. You don’t want to rummage through your checked luggage trying to find your sunglasses in the middle of the airport.
