Wash Your Face

How many times have you heard this one? You heard it from your mama, your friends, and now me! Throughout the day your face gets DIRTY! You touch your face, put your phone up to your face, and probably put on makeup. You don’t wanna lay that dirty face on your pillowcase, do you?

At the end of the day when it’s time to relax, remove your makeup (use more than a makeup wipe, do a full cleanse) followed by your favorite moisturizer. Drink a Cup of Water

Drink that water! And keep drinking more! At the end of each day, you should rehydrate your body. Why? Maybe you didn’t get enough water throughout the day, why not rehydrate before bed?

Water is also good for not only your body but also your skin! Yep, you beauty gurus, drink up!

Turn off all Electronics

Relax your brain! You’ve most likely been looking at your phone, computer, or TV throughout the day. Give your brain and eyes a rest. These devices strain your eyes.

Relaxing with the electronics off each night will help you decompress, and have a better nights sleep. Social media will always be there in the morning, unfortunately.

Read a Book

If you aren’t quite ready for bed read a book after your turn those electronics off. Reading is great mental exercise, and you can often learn a thing or two, whether it be a fact or a new vocabulary word.

Reading usually helps people relax, that’s why you hear about so many people reading before bed.

Yep, a good stretch before sleeping in the same position most of the night will help your body feel a little less stiff when you wake up in the morning.

You should also stretch first thing in the morning. It’s a great way to get ready for the day and loosen up your body before jumping into the day head first.

Reduce Clutter

The clutter that surrounds you often makes your mind feel the same way, cluttered. You will feel much more organized, and focused if your environment is organized.

Keep your areas cluttered free, especially your bedroom and office. Your bedroom is your sanctuary, and your office is your workplace.


After a stressful day, your mind needs a break from everything you went through that day. Stop thinking about the bills, your to-do list, and things you can’t control.

Every part of your body needs a break at some point, including your brain. Take a few minutes each day to meditate and relax.
