Hi. Hello. Aloha. Hola.

My name is Marie,

I’m the owner and creator of Life on the Loop. Thank you for visiting my blog and taking the time to read my “about me” page.

A little about me:

I’m currently a Business student, yes I should be studying right now. I’m almost done, yay!

I live in the beautiful, expensive, tourist attraction called, Hawaii. I absolutely love it, and never want to leave…unless it’s on vacation.
I have a wonderful husband, and 2 beautiful children. They keep me busy, happy, and tired.

When I was in high school I often had people asking me to do their taxes, including my family, my boyfriend (who’s now my husband), and friends. I wonder if my husband put a ring on it for tax purposes? Guess I’ll never know.

Born in Flint, Michigan but raised in Texas. I may not be “from” Texas but I’m about as Texas as you can get, I have the accent and all to prove it.

As a kid, my dad ran his own business. From the young of about 10 I took his phone calls, relayed messages, and even got commisioned on the jobs he landed. How cool is that?

Why did I decide to start a blog?

I LOVE writing, finance, budgets, saving, and pretty much everything else related to money. As a kid I would save all the change I found around the house and save up for that one item I had my eye on, usually junk.. but hey, it taught me to save.

I became interested in marketing, and web design a few years ago. To me, a website that looks good automatically draws me in, regardless of content… at first. I hope Life on the Loop draws in readers with both content and design.

Once I put all of the above together I thought I should start a blog, which I did just that in 2014. However, I was lost in the realm of blogging. I didn’t know where to begin, or how to market my content. At the time of writing this May of 2018, I went from almost no monthly Pinterest views to 125K that just goes to show I’ve learned a thing or two since 2014.

I’m not your perfect blogger. I want you to know that I’m a real person, I make mistakes, typos, and I’m often forgetful. I’m not wearing the cliche business clothes and promoting my blog to an audience of people at some fancy hotel. I’m actually wearing my husband’s sweatpants and waiting for him to bring home Mexican food.

I started again full time in 2018.

After I had my son I planned on returning back to the 9-5 hustle. However, that’s not for me. I’m no longer seeking employment and I dedicate every free moment I have into my blog.
